I have been talking to a friend of mine who is an Art History major and
she is now thoroughly interested in my pursuit of this painting. I
believe it was either Greg or DJ that was talking about it. I need a
little more information from you. Have you seen any of Vermeer's
stuff. That was her first guess but investigating his work I found
nothing that matched up. I need more information. Is it 16th century
or 1600's?
What period? I WILL find out about the painting. Now that I have
started Jenny on this she is unwilling to rest until she knows also.

That was me. The painting was briefly shown in a History Channel show,
"Crimes in Time" about the theft of the Mona Lisa back whenever. This
painting was shown during a brief discussion about Italian art winding up
in England/France, so I would guess its an Italian artist. I don't know
squat about art, bu I have seen verMeer's and it doesn't look like that to
me - didn't he do more "close-ups", so to speak? This is like a party
scene with 5-6 people visible as I recall.

I visited a place in London that is world-known for art information, they
had no idea and didn't care :( so how a poor boy like me would find it I
don't know. Best thought is to get a tape of the Crimes in Time show from
A&E video and capture it, at least you can see it then.
