his latter stuff is good but in his earlier works his perspective was
seriously amiss
ie 'still life with dresser', 'still life with Apples and oranges'. I'm not
sure if these were intentionally 'out' but the ellipses in the vases, plates
and jugs look poorly done to me.
perhaps this was the beginning of cubsim? he is credited on having a mjaor
influence on Picasso.
his landscapes are good but I find it hard to fathom why his works attracted
such a huge price at auction.
