He had enough
He couldn't take anymore
He'd found a place
In his mind and slammed the door
No matter how they tried
They couldn't understand
They washed and dressed him
Fed him by hand
Yeah! I've left the world behind
I'm safe here in my mind
Free to speak with my own kind
This is my life, this is my life
I'll decide not you
Withdrawn he'd sit there
Stare blank into space
No sign of life
Would flicker on his face
Until one day he smiled
It seemed as though with pride
The wind kissed him
Goodbye - and then he died
Yeah! I've left the world behind
I'm safe here in my mind
Free to speak with my own kind
This is my life, this is my life
I'll decide not you
Keep the world with all its sin
It's not fit for livin' in
Yeah! I will start again
It can take forever, and ever, and ever
And ever, but I'll still win.
How many like him,
Are there still
But to us, all
Seem to have lost the will
They lie in thousands
Plagued and lost
Is nothing worth this bitter cost
Yeah! I've left the world behind
I'm safe here in my mind
Free to speak with my own kind
This is my life, this is my life
I'll decide not you
Keep the world with all its sin
It's not fit for livin' in
Beyond the realms of death
Maybe, it's certainly in most Priest fan's top 10, however, Victim of
Changes and Painkiller are serious contenders.
It`s definately my favourite Priest song.

It's a killer track for sure. If pressed, I would probably claim SC
to be my favorite JP album. It is the one I have listened to the most
the past 10-15 years.
Tom
After taking a couple year reprieve I have been listening to Stained
Class quite a bit lately, but when it comes to picking one song it's
hard. I like different Priest songs at different times. Sometimes
I really like Desert Plains for example.

I have sort of taken a bit of a JP reprieve of late. I have hardly
listened to any JP the past year. I will make up for it though, this
year.

Great solo!

Does this mean I have to dislike this song and solo now?
Tom
You bet. You can keep PoE,Turbo,AoR, and Nostradamus if you like. The rest
will have to be joint custody.
Yes, this is one of the best songs by Judas Priest esp. with its 3:05
(or 3:10) guitar work by Glenn that blows away the guitar work in Pink
Floyd's 'Comfortably Numb'... and a big complaint I have about Pink
Floyd is will it really kill them to move around on stage???
Another top track by Judas Prest with equally impressive guitar
work: Touch of Evil. For the '70's, don't forget Dreamer Deceiver.
We're all different, but it was exciting to hear "Rock Hard Ride Free"
performed live roughly two years ago.
I haven't heard any updates on Ronnie James Dio but it would be nice
to have a Hear N' Aid concert in 2010 or 2011... or better yet, 2012.
Imagine Heaven and Hell, AC/DC, Megadeth, maybe Stryper, and Judas
Priest performing. That I wouldn't mind paying good money for!
Nothing can really equal what happened in October 1985 to me at the
then Washington, D.C., Convention Center: 2nd row, center stage...
for AC/DC... and I bought my ticket about a week after my friends
bought theirs.
Closest I've got to that since then is 10th row in 1988 when AC/DC
played the Capital Centre and Row K in 2008 in December in Charlotte,
NC, where after the show, got a free can of Monster beverage, dropped
off two shirts I purchased (before I entered the show, paid $10 for a
shirt and after the show paid $5 for a different shirt), then went to
a nearby convenience store and bought a Budweiser Ale and a sandwich,
then upon returning to the Days Inn, partied with some fellow AC/DC
fans that I met. Had at least 4 Heinekens, a big shot of rum, a big
shot of tequila, got up late the following day and still have no idea
how I got to my room. Upon wakening, found part of the sandwich (a
Po' Boy) outside my room and the rest inside.
Now that's what I call a show!
Rock Hard Ride Free...
P.S. Not as great a seat for AC/DC in Las Vegas this Year on April 9
(a Friday), but should definitely be good. Close to floor toward the
back at the MGM Grand Garden. Saw Priest about two years or so ago at
the Palms, then last year at the Thomas and Mack Center which I
consider the better show...
P.P.S. If you go see 'Avatar', see it 3D or 3D IMAX!
Heaven and Hell have booked several gig sfor 2010 so they must be pretty
confident that he`s going to be alright.

Stryper?? I guess you need some time to hit the bar...

Damn, that's harsh. At least I don't have to keep Jug and Demo.
Tom
I like those just fine so that'll work.

BTROD is not in my top 10 JP songs.

it's a damn fine song, though

aggressor:)
Blood red skies
The Sentinel
Painkiller
A Touch of evil

You like Demo? I guess Jug to some degree isn't bad, but Demo has a
few very bad songs.
Tom
70 minutes that feels like 90.
I skip Close To You, Lost And Found, Metal Messiah, and Jekyll And Hyde.
I also like a lot of Demolition.
And not Devil Digger?

I'd probably like it better if it was about 45 minutes long, with a
few songs not included.
Tom
I like the music. I have no idea what it's about.

I really don't remember, but it seemed stupid from the beginning.
