This is for Bomber more than anyone I guess...what a barmy album. They`ve
released a 25th anniversary album and re-recorded 11 old songs. Totally
re-arranged and re-recorded though...Dr Stein is now a swing jazz number,
Eagle Fly Free an acoustic ballad and the Keeper trilogy a 17 minute long
orchestral piece. It`s fun I guess taken in the right spirit but can`t
really see myself playing it often!

I remember reading about this and wondering who decided on the tracklist.
I'll give it a listen but don't have much hope for it. The new Gamma Ray
will be out soon and they tend to be better than Helloween.

Wow, that was horrific! The original song isn't that great but this makes it
sound like sheer brilliance in comparison.

Well, I just downloaded the album, skimmed through it, and deleted it....all
in under two minutes!

I liked it, I thought it was well made and somewhat fun to listen to.

I like this version, it`s fun, as you say. I did find the album very hit and
miss though...it`s far too heavy on the ballads. The orchestral Keepers
version is pretty good though.

I D/L it and I am really enjoying it quite a bit. I like the redone
"Future World" and love the Keepers trilogy. I think I am going to be
listening to this for a little while.

Guess it wasn't for Bomber then.

If it was the typical flowery PM, then sure. This is just filler between
albums. They're just messing around so it's not like this is their direction
from now on. Like I said, the new Gamma Ray is out soon. I've come around to
the new song they debuted this summer ( and since named the album after it).
By the way, Merry Xmas. I'm going to eat After Eights and Ferrero Rochers
until I'm sick!

You know it probably wouldn't take long for me to get sick eating
those. But enjoy.

It's about the only time I eat chocolate. I had about 4 After Eights and
that was enough for now. I could plow through that stuff when I was a kid.

Where can I hear the new Gamma Ray song?? 2009 has been very black metal for
me...2010 looks like it could me back to the flowery side...

Originally I watched a live webstream of Wacken 2009 and heard it there.
Then I downloaded their set. I believe they put it up on their page or
Myspace....looking now...on Blabbermouth:
