This new Google groups interface is killing me. I can't reply to the originally thread unless i reply to the first message. i† might just be Safari I don't know its probably me. I really wish anyone on here thats hasn't would come over to Facebook. I agree with Richie that Facebook does have serious privacy concerns, but it is possible (and easy) to make everything private except to your friends and it is a great place to talk about music and exchange videos and reviews (kind of like here). Tom set up a group (its a secret group so its only for those who are invited) called AMJP its for members of the judas priest and kind of sister slayer group.

anyway if you go on Facebook head over to my page www.facebook.com/kev242 friend me and let me know who you are if your name is different and maybe we could all meet there.

Part of me really hates to post this, I've been on Usenet since i was using Mosaic browser and running a newsreader off a shell account but it seems with each passing year access †o it gets more complex and less necessary.

Its got to be your browser because I can access and reply to every
message using either Chrome or IE.

I don't have any problem seeing posts here either. But I do know what
Kevin's otherwise saying. The newsgroups are pretty much dead. The
number of users and posters here have declined to almost nil.

This lurker enjoyed (almost) all of your posts and bought numerous CD's based on your suggestions. I wish you all the best and I'll miss the long-winded conversations that somehow always deviated from the original subject title!

It was a blast and take care all!

Up the Irons!

You never joined facebook?

Anyway, I still check here time to time, and probably will still
drop playlists on here.

If you will permit me. What are a few of the CD's you bought that I
liked and talked about, and now think you almost couldn't survive
without having heard them?

As it is, no one could enjoy "all" of my posts on AMJP. It's spread
over three main accounts over the years to the tune of about 21,000
posts.

as long as there is still way to still access Google groups I will still come here. There is no reason the 2 groups can't exist at the same time.

Occasionally I have seen some CD's recommended by Kevin here I got and
liked. As well as Ritchie, Ian, DC and E and e. All have said stuff or
just by sheer number of times something is on their play lists, it
interests me as to why.
So in this I regret that they aren't posting here much, but then
again, I am in contact with them (except e) on facebook, so new stuff
they like I hear about that way.

Tom

Everything changes.

Though not Metal, I do have a good memory of hearing Steely Dan songs
on the radio as a kid and teen.

So, bought Aja the other day (Deacon Blues is on this, as well as
Josie and Peg) The second two songs I did not remember by their
titles, but knew the songs as soon as I heard them.
Their Debut album isn't bad either. It has Do it Again, Dirty Work and
Reelin' in the Years. Which I am sure most of us have heard many
times.

I've heard of quite a bit of good music from this newsgroup.

As have I. I really wish this could continue, but it looks like many
have just stopped logging in and posting.

If you'd rather not associate with the AMS posters, I could set up a
page just for AMJP, and limit the users to you, me, Kevin, Servo and
that would be it. (on facebook, that is.)
Bomber if he'd ever see this and post wanting to join. Anders, I
suppose. Jgblnt, if he would as well.
Probably include Ian, as he posted so very many times on AMJP.

I wish all bad things would come to an end as well, but as the
Overkill song says, "Evil Never Dies"

Here is Kevin's message, Ritchie. I think the auto updater will put this message right up front for you.
