Now, I am not accusing Newsted of faking an injury, but look at this
news story:

Jason Newsted is injured and will be out of commission for up to nine
months. His replacement on the Rock Star: Supernova tour will be Johnny
Colt, the former bass player for the Black Crowes and Train. I guess
they can still call it a supergroup.
