Why is "INSTINCT" always in the cut-out bin?

This CD was awesome. Steve Jones of the Pistols on guitar? This thing was
amazing. Some folks just don't get it. IGGY's perhaps most underrated
effort. Just got a fresh copy on CD (upgrade from cassette)....a few years
back.

Instinct has to be the worst of all the iggy albums. Not because the
songs suck or the musicianship sucks but the production is complete
garbage. It's the dated 80s sound...no edge, too too much effect and
compression and the shittiest fucking snare drum sound in the world.
Even if you don't realize it you hear it and it sounds terribly
terribly dated. Maybe that sound will become trendy again but who
cares....it's polished and shitty sounding...not at all what iggy
pop's music deserves or needs. I completely hate the album and even
if I'm jonesin' for some iggy I haven't heard a million times, I just
can't listen to it.

Oh my! I still like it. But that review answers the question. Producer
Bill Laswell went on to do some ambient stuff later on.....

I still think this cd blows away solo releases like "Zombie
Birdhouse"....now that was just "un-good". I bet I get hate mail for that!
