I think mr. barr meant that a masters degree from an ivy league university
would result in a higher paying job. (not that this is true, and especially not
in the field of architecture...)

No, I meant the colleges would be paying out large sacks of cash, in
burlap sacks with dollar-bill signs on them.
I say that the average salary of Ivy League grads is higher than the
average of art school grads.
However, I don't know if this holds true in the field of architecture,
which falls sort of between the worlds of pure art and being a
profession.
probably true, but it's faulty logic to say that that has something to do with
the degree.. I think it's more likely that people who choose to go to ivy
league schools are more often people who are interested in making a lot of
money later on - so they pursue high paying rather than spiritually rewarding
jobs.. prob/stats 101
