Should Genesis be lucky enough this time around, in what configuration
should they go in? Should it be just the Fab Five (Gabriel, Hackett,
Banks, Collins, Rutherford)? Or should Daryl and Chester go in also?
What about Anthony Phillips? John Mayhew/John Silver? Ray Wilson and
the "Calling All Stations" folks?

Also, what songs should they play at the induction ceremony?

Here are my votes:

Inductees: The Fab Five plus Daryl and Chester

Songs: "I Know What I Like" (Peter vocals); "The Carpet
Crawlers" (Peter and Phil), "Turn It On Again" (Phil)

Thoughts?

Gabriel (vocals)
Collins (tambourine & harmonies)
Banks (keys)
Rutherford (bass & Taurus pedals)
Hackett (guitar)
Phillips (guitar)
Thompson (drums, saving Phil's back)
and as a thanks for services rendered, Stuermer (guitar)

Nothing against Ray Wilson, but I think he'd agree what got them to the Hall
Of Fame (if they do) wasn't CAS--all due respect. He rode the train at the
end of the trip and did a fine job (IMHO), but he only should be there if
the others really want him to be. You wouldn't hear me complain if that
happened, though. No other CAS players, though.
John Silver--no.
John Mayhew--that would be something. If I remember correctly, he died in
the last year or two. He could be the Rael figure on the other side of the
stage from Gabriel.

These three songs are IMHO the most likely to be performed.

However in the nominees page http://www.rockhall.com/induction2010
almost the entire section with the motivations for the induction refer
to the Gabriel era (including the pic). This will not make
Phil&Mike&Tony extremely happy but I am "sure" they will not ignore it.

As much as anything, what they do will depend mostly on whether Peter
shows up.
