But I guess this is "let's pretend" so I say Fiona Apple even though
it'd never happen. Most likley they'll pick someone like GVB who's a
rather unknown band. (At least to me.)

no opening acts necessary.

GVSB again would be cool but I doubt that would happen.. I can't
really say because I can't think of a [good] band that would fit into the

Howzabout Jason Nevins? Or DJ Qbert? Or, then again, would they overshadow
Garbage (even though Garbage kicks major ass)? Hmmm.....maybe Garbage
SHOULD play by themselves.......

They weren't that bad. They got a good enough reaction in Dublin anyway

some really good bands as an openinfg band would be

~Bjork

~Radiohead (love OK Computer !)

~Tori Amos
~Hole
~Smashing Pumpkins
~Republica (thats 4u Alex!!)

<i absolutely adore Adore, its a really good CD and I think the best they
released rivaled closely by Siamese Dream of course> maybe Love and Rockets
would be good, also Republica is absolutly Fabulosoe !! and Placebo would also
be great..... but i think Bjork and Radiohead would be the best, real head
turners ewwwww i think that came out wrong!...
now i feel incredibly dirty..... o well. n e way Tori Amos is for you Meave !!

Most of the names you mentioned, I can't see them being openers.
They're simply too big. Maybe a double bill, instead, or festival style.
They also have similar music to Garbage, so aren't that suitable.

Tori Amos is an exception, though like the others, could sell out on her own.
so would really be a good opener but simply too popular.
Republica would be nice to see, but on some of their songs, they could
outdo Garbage with their faster songs and higher energy level.

I would like to see Hole, or Cake. Maybe Rancid, maybe Catherine Wheel.
Deftones would be nice. Beasties... hmm.
Suede is iffy. Transglobal Underground for a change. Gus Gus...
Scooter does rave style concerts unfortunately and Soundgarden is no more, not
that they could open either (too big). DJ Shadow would be neat.
Rollins Band. Oh yeah.

I really do not see this at all. Granted, i haven't seen Republica
live...maybe all their music changes and it actually sounds better...but i got
their album with 'Ready To Go' and it was surprisingly awful. The whole album

seemed amateurish to me.

I'm not a fan of hip-hop....I'm smart enough to know that Garbage is heavily
influenced by Techno, Hip Hop, maybe a little House, and some Trance too. I do
Like Curve....not as much as Garbage....but i like them. Garbage and Curve
make far superior music than Republica. And i don't even think that is
subjective....If someone said Curve was better than Garbage I wouldn't
agree...but I could respect it.....Republica however doesn't even belong in the
same sentence as Garbage or Curve or the Sneaker Pimps for that matter. Take
care....

But anyway, I heard them "almost" live (it was a live show on TV), and

They'd make a good opening act!
