O.K. many of you have seen Garbage live ( i have twice) . So my question is, if you got to pick Garbage's opening act for their next tour who would you pick???

But I guess this is "let's pretend" so I say Fiona Apple even though it'd never happen. Most likley they'll pick someone like GVB who's a rather unknown band. (At least to me.) Jillian

Novalee ;--<----</: next week they are playing a festival in vienna with new radicals, heather nova, suede and of course garbage and guess who's going to be there to see them????

GVSB again would be cool but I doubt that would happen.. I can't really say because I can't think of a [good] band that would fit into the show.

How bout no opening band and Garbage plays an extra hour? ;)
> I saw them once, and I think GSVB sucks terribly.
Howzabout Jason Nevins? Or DJ Qbert? Or, then again, would they overshadow Garbage (even though Garbage kicks major ass)? Hmmm.....maybe Garbage SHOULD play by themselves.......
<i absolutely adore Adore, its a really good CD and I think the best they released rivaled closely by Siamese Dream of course> maybe Love and Rockets would be good, also Republica is absolutly Fabulosoe !! and Placebo would also be great..... but i think Bjork and Radiohead would be the best, real head turners ewwwww i think that came out wrong!... now i feel incredibly dirty..... o well. n e way Tori Amos is for you Meave !!
Most of the names you mentioned, I can't see them being openers. They're simply too big. Maybe a double bill, instead, or festival style. They also have similar music to Garbage, so aren't that suitable.
Tori Amos is an exception, though like the others, could sell out on her own. so would really be a good opener but simply too popular. Republica would be nice to see, but on some of their songs, they could outdo Garbage with their faster songs and higher energy level.
I would like to see Hole, or Cake. Maybe Rancid, maybe Catherine Wheel. Deftones would be nice. Beasties... hmm. Suede is iffy. Transglobal Underground for a change. Gus Gus... Scooter does rave style concerts unfortunately and Soundgarden is no more, not that they could open either (too big). DJ Shadow would be neat. Rollins Band. Oh yeah.

He/she is shite.

Garbage and Hole did a double bill at the Orpeum in Boston about 6 months ago.... Garbage opened and the show was incredible.... One girlie thingy and one sleazy rocker thingy - who could ask for more?

I intend to start playing bass guitar.. Maybe in the future I can join with you on Garbage concerts.

Republica's debut album was played over and over at the UK arena's last January - before Moloko came on. Perhaps they should've kept playing it!?..... Moloko yuk!!!

I really do not see this at all. Granted, i haven't seen Republica live...maybe all their music changes and it actually sounds better...but i got their album with 'Ready To Go' and it was surprisingly awful. The whole album seemed thrown together..very choppy. the lyrics were quite banal....just seemed amateurish to me.
