Jane, I just saw a movie that reminded me of an old filk you did for an
old iteration of Star Trek. Only in that case the ensign under 20 was
Wesley Crusher, and the man of over 90 was Bones McCoy. Anyway, I'd like
to feature that filk in a blog post on the flick.

BTW, you notice how Klingon Nero and crew behaved?

Not that many of the group hang out here these days - you may want to
try rec.music.filk.

I passed this on to Jane who has since replied to Alan and is combing
through her files.

I got the message from Jane and sent a reply to that. Nothing back from
her yet.

Given how the movie has mangled Star Trek history, how do people see the
folk lore changing with the history?

One other thing; I'd like to see a video of shots from the movie and
Jane's filk. You figure out how to do it, be my guest. If you're in the
San Diego area and I can lay down some vocals for you, just say so.

There're aliens a plenty
And Ensigns under twenty
Facing men of over 90
In a broken and battered ship

The old man's consternation
At this next generation
Means a bloody confrontation
And a thoroughly wasted trip.
