Small question about Art's history:

I thought he was an atheist because of some events involving his mother when
he was a kid (breakdown, had to live with other relatives - "Why I don't
believe in god" from SMFTA), but in "AM Radio", he says he can still
remember his mother saying "boy turn that radio down" and that she'd watch
TV all night, when he was a kid (1970 to 1977). This songs seems to portray
Art's childhood as pretty peachy, whereas many songs on SMFTA don't. Is
this contradictory, or are both the stories true and fit in somewhere?

TIA,

>TIA,

Don't take all of the songs as autobiographical.

For example, Queen of the Air talks about how his mom jumped off a bridge and
killed herself. Heroin Girl, while *based* on actual events, is not true at
all.

Most of the songs are drawn from Art's life, but not all of them.
