Italian band called Daedalus (not to be confused with the 70s Italian
fusion outfit Dedalus). Very DT in a good way if that's what you're
looking for. All the prog-metal ambition without the AOR cheesewhizz
that sometimes seeps in. Much better than Explorer's Club and Royal
Hunt. Daedalus want to be early-ish DT in the same way many a band has
wanted to be classic Genesis. So if that sounds like it floats your
boat try "The Never Ending Illusion". They're on Gallileo Records, and
ProgRock in the USA. For more info etc., go to www.progdaedalus.it or
www.myspace.com/progdaedalus. HTH.
