Many onliners aren't bothering to get accurate lyrics to this Mark Knopfler title track, and are too intellectually naive to pick up on a certain concept. They keep transcribing it as variants of "what about happiness and money?" when it should be "THE ONE about happiness and money," meaning the old adage "money can't buy you happiness." The "bread line" knows that money is needed for physical survival and a rudimentary level of happiness is impossible without it.... more »
