Hi,

Listening on the radio I've heard two songs named: I'm just rehearsing and:
Love their neighbour as theirselves. The artist name was Loving or Lowing
Brothers, from the forty or fifties. Anyone can confirm the artists name or
a more info to get these numbers?
Maybe it was bluegrass music because of the banjo's.
I hope someone can help me further, I'm searching for a very long time with
no effort!

Tnx, Maurice Raven

Hi Maurice:
It's the Louvin Brothers and the songs can be found on their Bear Family
boxed set.

You've almost got it right!
It must have been the Louvin Brothers.
Charlie & Ira Louvin (real name Loudermilk) are both considered country and
bluegrass.
They were BIG from 1955 - 1962 when they split up.
Charlie proved to be the more popular solo artist with 3 hits in 1964.
Just before they could join again, Ira and his wife Florence died in a car
crash in 1965.

The Louvin Brothers

Bear Family records has an 8 CD boxed set of their complete studio recordings.

Razor and Tie records has a single disc best-of CD, and a few years ago Capitol
released three Louvin Brothers LP's on CD-I believe those are out of print now,
but you could probably find used copies at www.secondspin.com. www.djangos.com,
www.spunn.com, or maybe ebay.

Hello,
That would be The Louvin Brothers, Ira and Charlie. Charlie is still
performing, but Ira passed away several years ago in an automobile accident
if I remember correctly.

Hope this helps.

Thanks you very much too. Hey look at that, a guy 15 miles away from my
place, Leeuwarden.
It's a small cyberworld, right? I've heard the songs 20 years ago on a
weekly countryshow at NCRV Dutch radio.
With a little luck I can hear these nice songs again!

You're quite welcome.

Also, you can follow this link http://recordlady.webgcs.com/main2.htm
to a site that has a lot of the Louvin Brothers songs, as well as thousands
other older country songs, that you can listen to with a realaudio
player...either the free or pay player will work fine.

Enjoy!

Floyd,

Gues it was a typo?
You must have meant the Louvin Brothers, Charlie & Ira (real family name was
Loudermilk).
