checkout the Files area, super-rare "live" cuts of Ray Price from the 50's
and 80's, and my nominee for the greatest George Jones song ever ... that
99% of his fans have never heard.

And a YOUNG Grampa Jones!

As noted on the Yahoo group, "Tomorrow Never Comes" has been one of our
files for download, still up there. Sounds highly likely Jones was Highly
Plastered when he cut it! <g>

You ought to hear the Osborne Brothers' version <g>.

Also in the Files for greatcountry2 ... something 99.9999% of his fans have
definitely never heard: the original demo Jerry Chestnut played for George
and Tammy .... Jerry singing "What a Good Year for the Roses." Tammy
picked to record the second song on Jerry's tape, "The Wonders You Perform."
I've always had fantasies of what the result might have been if each had
chose the other song. <g>

From Homer Cutrer:

>and my nominee for the greatest George Jones song ever ... that 99% of his

fans have never heard: "The Selfishness in Man" <

LOL!!!!!!!! Ya know, you've made a ton of ridiculous statements regarding
Country music, over the years, but this may well be the MOST
ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!

The truth is that 99% of his fans HAVE heard the song, but unlike you, they'd
all like to forget it! :)

Face it, when it comes to Country music, YOU JUST DON'T GET IT!!

Please keep all your religous fanaticism, on your little yahoo group, or
subscribe to Amy Grant.com!

We've had about four months without your religous ramblings, and it's been
quite enjoyable, thank-you! :)

>From: B...@Cool.com

>Or, as a sleeper that no one has ever heard of, "Tomorrow Never Comes."<

Please. Are you two related?

George Jones has recorded probably over 1000 songs, and out of those, you two
bozos have the audacity to offer up "The Selfishness In Man" and "Tomorrow
Never Comes" as examples of his two greatest
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Let's not pull any punches: You two are buffoons! You both have as much
business commenting about George Jones , as the Pope does about vaginas! :)

Just example #1321 of why I take issue with ALMOST everything Mr Cutrer has
ever uttered about Country MUSIC!!!!!!!!

I'm sure the subsribers to Yahoo are thrilled!

P.S. - Ought to move it from "Yahoo Groups" to "Wacko Groups"! :):):)

Hi, all... After Johnny Paycheck passed away in February, I was
re-reading several bio's here & there, including the one @
"www.cmt.com". In it, it mentions a cut that he & George Jones had
recorded shortly after JP got out of the pokey in January 1991,
something called "The Last Outlaw's Alive and Doing Well" (-or- simply
"The Last Outlaw"). The Rough Music Guide - Country" book mentions that
it was released on something called Air Records (a West Virginia based
label according to the book) in either '91 or '92. Most surprisingly,
the book says it was released on CASSETTE ONLY. ~~~~~~ Google and Yahoo
searches haven't yielded anything of value: Quick mentions @
"www.theiceberg.com" and @ "www.countryhighway.dk" (which DID add that
it was 3:02 in length, and was written by a "D.Mitchell"). I'm stumped.
Can anyone help me? Thanks guys! -Dubya
