The only "young" folks that I like are Travis Tritt, Andy Griggs, Trick
Pony, and Gary Allan.
Stay safe,

My Country collection consists mostly of Cash, The Hag, Jones, Johnny
Horton, Buck Owens, Willie, Waylon and Randy Travis.

I had a break-in and they stole 90% of my collection, which at that time
were cassettes. I first thought I had lost A - H, which included part
of Merle Haggard. I later realized N- W was missing except for a few
O-P-Q-R ...meaning, they didn't get Elvis or Marty Robbins... but they
got all my Willie Nelson, which at that time I had about 20 of his. (I
only have one Elvis..<g>) But I did not lose
Kristofferson/Jennings/Highwamen. I had _all_ of Vern Gosdin... they
are gone!
I have slowly been replacing/adding with CD's now. My All-time fave
album is Willie Nelson's 'Red Headed Stranger' and I've got that back
again. I lost over 300 tapes, and I've got about 30 CD's now.
I'd say Kris dominates now. Dwight Yoakam as well (never lost his)
Somebody mentioned Rodney Crowell... I've got a couple of his newer
ones, but had them all... It's been about 3 years now, and I still am
angry.

I had my 'autographed' Tanya stolen! But I"ve also got her/your book and
lithograph, both autographed.
Nobody dominates, but George Jones, Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson by virtue
of their longevity, probably have the biggest
share.
I just completed my collection of every single CD and video by Lee
Kernaghan who is my all-time favorite. He's totally awesome. Never
heard anyone so fabulous.
Have a lot of old Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, Tommy Collins, Wynn
Stewart and that great west coast country sound of the 60s. Some
George Jones, Hank Jr., Hank Thompson
Don't have anything current. There's not much there in my opinion.
The CDs I'm now planning to stock up on are Troy Cassar-Daley, Sara
Storer, Melinda Schneider, Tania Kernaghan, Colin Buchanan, Sovereign,
and all the great, traditional groups from down under who have the same
sound we had in the 60s.
You must be kidding.....please tell me you're kidding!

To each his own, but I'm not ashamed to be a
Trick Pony fan by any means. Heidi, their lead singer; showed that it
was cool for a gal to have "balls" long before Gretchen Wilson came
along. Any girl who can tear into a good ol', politically incorrect
drinkin' song; like "Pour Me" has a certain appeal to her. AND, Waylon,
Johnny Cash, and Willie Nelson each gave the group their seal of
approval by cutting duets with them. That, in itself; makes them OK in
my book.
Have a safe and happy Holiday,
KBC

Johnny Cash liked Trick Pony enough to sing on their album. Wayon
Jennings, too.
And about the duets--Willie did a duet with Julio Iglesias too. All that
weed whacked out his brain.
