I think it would make the most sense to have a one day sign up period, where
people interested in buying it can sign up to order a copy; then, the record
company can make that number, and they can give those to the people that signed
up to buy them. I'm sure in one day they won't do an extrodanary amount of
sales, but it doesn't seem fair that it's this limited. I like what U2 did
when they put out a limited edition of their greatest hits album with a bonus
CD: during the first week of release, you could buy as many copies as you want,
but they stopped making them after the first week. So, if you wanted to own 2,
or buy 27 for all your friends, you could, so long as you did it initially.
It's still a limited release, and they're not making them anymore.

Pearl Jam is releasing 26 two-disc sets, and selling them online in July,
then releasing them to retail in August. It sounds like just about the
coolest thing I've ever heard of a band doing for its fans. If I were a
Pearl Jam fan, I'd be ecstatic. I'm not sure if Epic will be handling the
discs themselves, or if PJ will start their own label, but either way, mabey
C.C. should look into hooking up with Sony, so they too would be allowed to
do something like this.

From what I've heard the record label really has nothing to do with
this..hense another reason the quanity is limited..crows are doing this
out of pocket for the sake of the fans..& spreading music..
I can't say much more than that
