a) they are recieving the CD in small shipments. So only those small
amounts are going out at a time and as more come in, more poeple will
be getting them.
b) as for anyone who may be left over when 1000 CD's are sent, she
told me that they are almost completey sure that all the orders placed
will be filled.
I hope that the second is true. I don't want "something cool" instead
of this. It'll be something I didn't order just billed onto my credit
card and, unless its REALLY cool, I don't think I'd want it anyways.
After I get it all figured out and I'm calmer, I'm going to write
Artist Direct a letter suggesting a couple improvements for next time
For example, better Web Managment (having the CD on the web to order
when it should be), no phone orders (or at least none before 9am),
better product control methods (ie, not taking more orders than are
avaliable) and, most importantly, ONE PER CUSTOMER! That's what made
me the most mad is that people were allowed to order more than one
giving the rest of us less of a chance of buying it and giving them
one more chance to rip someone else off on Ebay. Well, that's just my
two cents.

Well... when it gets down to it this is a problem is information systems.
Saddly most companys don't have their inventory systems connected to their
internet systems.. so these things need to be done by hand and it's damn near
impossible in the frame of a few hours... basicly they are just not set up to
take orders of this nature.
