Just complained to the BBC about the total lack of coverage of the Counting
Crows set at T in the park. There is not even a clip on the website. Do the
BBC have a grudge against this band. I remember a similar situation when
they played at Glastonbury a few years back.

the bad news is that the london gig is wembley arena which i hate. the
good news is that ben folds is supporting (or maybe headlining, not
sure, lol) so however exorbitant the tickets are you can be sure it'll
be worth it!

First of all it's nice to know someone else is still out there! second
brilliant that they are coming to my home town. On the subject of the BBC I
got their reply today which has pissed me off even more. I thought they
would say they did not cover them due to some contractural rights but no,
editorial decisions had to be made on who to cover as they have finite
resources. So the only band on the main stage not covered is Counting Crows.
Not even one song. Wonder who was making the editorial decisions? Wonder if
Jo Wiley was part of that process. Anyway the reply is shown below:

Thank you for your email regarding our coverage of 'T in the Park 2008'.

I understand you are disappointed the BBC did not include coverage of
Counting Crows performance.

Whilst we aim to provide extensive television, radio and online coverage,
the BBC's resources are finite meaning we cannot cover every single act
appearing at the festival. We therefore have to make editorial decisions as
to what to cover for the benefit of all audiences and we realise that we
will be unable to please everyone.

I'd like to assure you that we have registered your comments on our audience
log. This is the internal report of audience feedback which we compile daily
for all programme makers and commissioning executives within the BBC, and
also their senior management. It ensures that your points, and all other
comments we receive, are circulated and considered across the BBC.

Thanks again for taking the time to contact the BBC.

Regards

Ross Jubin
