"Heaven"

A star shining in a universe far away
My heart knows that we shall meet again some sweet day
And you, you will be the flame that burns in my breast
And oh, I know just by knowing you I was blessed.
Yes I was truly blessed

Heaven, Heaven, ooh waiting there for me
Heaven, Heaven, ooh always let it be

So why, tell me why the good die young my old friend
I pray that heaven waits for everyone in the end
And love, love is how we cross that bridge to the light
A star that is what you are in my darkest night
Be always by my side

Heaven, Heaven, ooh waiting there for me
Heaven, Heaven, ooh always let it be

Heaven, Heaven, ooh waiting there for me
Heaven, Heaven, ooh always let it be

Hayley Westenra Biography http://hubpages.com/hub/Hayley-Westenra

Hayley Westenra was born on April 10, 1987, in Christchurch, New
Zealand. She is the daughter of Jill and Gerald Westenra and has two
siblings, Isaac and Sophie. She comes from a musically inclined family
- her grandmother Shirley Ireland was a singer and her grandfather was
a pianist who played the piano accordion.

Hayley began her musical career at the early age of six when she
starred in her school's Christmas play called "The Littlest Star" and
impressed audiences with her singing part. After taking music lessons,
she performed in more than 40 stage productions by the time she was
11. She made her professional recording studio debut at age 13 with
Walking in the Air, an independently produced demo made for family and
friends. At the age of 14 she made a self-titled collection, Hayley
Westenra (2001), that took her country by storm.

Although her albums were quite successful in New Zealand, she was
unknown worldwide until she landed a contract with Decca Records and
recorded Pure, a CD of classical, light pop and traditional Maori
songs. She achieved international stardom at age sixteen and her
international debut album Pure became No. 1 classical hit in such
countries as the UK, Australia and Hong Kong. Poised, angelic and
characterised by its breath-taking natural beauty, Hayley's voice won
the hearts of millions.

Treasure, Westenra's new international album, was launched in the UK
on February 26, 2007, and in the US on March 13 (under the name Celtic
Treasure).

Hayley's amazing voice has ensured her a place within the pantheon of
great singers, and her drive and determination is virtually impossible
to ignore. With several hit albums and hundreds of concert appearances
behind her, Hayley has established herself as a natural successor to
such talented soloists as Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion.

Hayley Westenra is also the youngest UNICEF Ambassador to date and has
been lauded for her charitable contributions to the world. She is
undoubtedly an ideal role model for the millions of little girls that
look up to her.

The Voice of an Angel...Hayley Westenra

I received the new CD project of New Zealand teen singing sensation
Hayley Westenra and I have to admit that I was blown away from the
first note. The project title "Pure" is just that, pure excellence!
The quality of her angelic voice is so amazing that you can't help but
to be drawn in the moment the CD is in rotation on your player. If you
are having a difficult day and need to un-wind and take your mind to a
beautiful place...this is the CD you should listen to.

Even on the songs that should make you sad such as "Who Painted the
Moon Black" a song about losing someone, her voice has a quality of
such beauty that you are more in comfort than pain.

The classic training of her voice shines through on many tracks and
you know by listening to her that she has studied voice and music with
a passion. To say that this is a Christian project would not be true
although her rendition of Amazing Grace is so full of beauty you could
easily get away with calling the project a religious one. Her heart
for God clearly shines through each note on that song!

If you would like to learn more about this wonderful new singer you
can try to catch her on her tour of the United States. Yes she is
giving up a summer of barbecues and movie blockbusters that most teens
enjoy in lieu of appearances with major world-renown singers and the
cast of a hit TV show. In addition to spreading the word across the
U.S. about her internationally-acclaimed debut album PURE, here's a
quick glance at what the young star will be doing in summer 2004:
