I just wanted to write a thank you note to the Triangle.
A lot of folks came out to the 506 Saturday for the Diversions party,
which was kind of my last ride as Diversions Editor, seeing as come
May 11 (and God willing), I'll be one of them college graduates and
all. As the house lights came back on, and the crowd trickled out, I
really became aware of the fact that I was about to close a very
meaningful chapter of my life.
And none of that's to say my involvement in local music will slow at
all, or that Diversions will slow at all. Quite the opposite, really.
I'll be doing a lot with Shuffle Magazine to get NC and SC bands out
there to a double-state audience, and Diversions is now in the more-
than-capable hands of Jamie Williams and Jordan Lawrence. But this
*is* to say that the past two years have been extremely formative, and
I'd like to thank this community for all the support and love that
I've felt and continue to feel every time I press play on my CD
player, or read the Indy, or set foot in any of the venues around
here.
And a lot of people frequenting these boards have been extremely kind.
It means a lot. So thanks.

The Diversions blog is broken because (as far as I can tell) WordPress
sucks. The section continued to exist ant actually got a minor
facelift in the Thursday print edition, but you should ask Jamie
Williams about the future of the blog...I'm sure it'll get running
again in some form or another.
