Anyone know of a local source for clear plexiglass sheets? I found a
place online but they're charging as much for shipping as they are for
the plastic. This is to make a crude, transparent acoustic divider
between a singer's microphone and a drum kit. 2'x4' would be just dandy.

Thanks!
Chris

Home Depot or Lowes is where I've always gotten mine. I assume they
stock it for all those landlords, like the guy I used to rent from in
Boylan Heights, who like to replace busted windows with plexi, so that
next time the burglars can just push in on it & pop it out.

If you want really crude and really cheap, picture frame shops end up
with lots of 8-inch by 6-foot ends when they cut the plexi for frames.
Epoxy 'em together. They might hand it over for a song, so to speak.

Rice's Glass in Carrbore should be a good, LOCALLY OWNED, source for this.

They might be a bit more expensive than a big-box type store but the profit stays in Carrboro.....

Checked Scrap Exchange.

Will probably spring for a full sheet. It's not expensive and my time
is probably better spent not gluing little strips of plexiglass together.

I'll try Rice's, I suppose.

Thanks dudes!
