Still waiting for a contemporary kick but version of this:

Pretty hard to ever improve on that version.
What a fantastic underrated band, the American version of the mid-60's
Rolling Stones. I really need to get myself a Paul Revere "Best Of" CD; they
still sound f-ing great!
I did buy one of their records once, this single when I was 12, still my
favorite song of theirs:

Agreed! One of the great under the radar bands from the 60's. I had
every album they ever put out in the 60's-70's and now have all of
them on CD as well.
The greatest hits is a good place to start followed by:
Midnight Ride
Just Like Me
They're underrated, but they sure weren't back then. At the time they were
probably my favorite group besides the Beatles and the Monkees. Probably
because they were on not only radio, but TV as well (like the Beatles &
Monkees). You could catch them each weekday on Dick Clark's "Where The
Action Is" which came on right after school. IIRC, it was on back-to-back
with "Dark Shadows", HUGE show among kids at the time. I knew their names
back then: besides Revere and Mark Lindsay, there was Fang and Harpo; can't
remember the 5th guy.
I'll definitely start with Greatest Hits, as it's available on emusic.
Thanks for the tip on the other two.
I read somewhere that they're not in the R&R Hall Of Fame, which is insane.
Must be those silly outfits they used to wear. While they WERE a teenybopper
group, they still made great music which still holds up well today.

Very suprised that most folks have no clue about their musical legacy.
Even more surprised that most music artist have yet to do any cover
versions.
