Pearl Jam releasing new 'bootlegs'

By JAM! Music

Pearl Jam has revealed details about the official "bootlegs" for
their next tour, which commences on February 8 in Brisbane, Australia,
Billboard reports.

The day after the performance, fans that have pre-ordered their copy
of the show will be able to download unmastered MP3 files of the
concert, via a Web link sent to the customer. A mastered double-CD
copy of the show should turn up in their mailboxes seven to 10 days
later.

Members of the band's fan club, "Ten Club," will be able to pre-order
copies online at $12.98 per show -- two dollars less than non-members.

"For people to get a chance to buy the show they went to, and for it
to sound good too, that's huge," guitarist Mike McCready said of the
process.

Fans can also purchase shows that they don't go to, a detail that
caused 14 of Pearl Jam's 2000 tour bootlegs to place on the Billboard
200. Seventy-two complete shows from that tour were available in
record stores, but retail availability details have yet to be
announced for this round of bootlegs.

Pearl Jam will begin their 48-date North American outing on April 1 in
Denver, after returning from their 15-date Australia/Japan tour.
