What other CD covers are great?
I vote for KRISIUN "Black Force Domain" as another great one.

I also like the cover art of the new Soilwork album.
Satyricon - Rebel Extravaganza
All Iron Maiden covers made by Derrik Riggs (is that his name?)
And it's just a boll made of glass... But it's a damn fine cover! ;-)

Doesn't everyone hate it when bands seem to grow old along with you? I
mourn Darkthrone (and Burzum, for that matter).
Annatar Gorthaur
it really does...or pretty close. And the only cover which matches its
grimminity is of course Svartedauen (hailz Dave)...both of which are the most
fear (the most profound emotion in art for me) provoking music ever recorded
(of course there's Grieg's 'In the hall of the mountain king' and Beethoven's
9th 2nd movement but they don't really count since they don't have covers)

oh yeah...I've only been listening to Darkthrone since Transilvanian Hunger
(which was about 6 years ago) but I feel like I've been listening to them
forever, and now they suck...oh well, at least Fenriz is still a nut so at
least the interviews are entertaining
Total Death und coldvoid uber alles!

Transylvanian hunger gets all the attention...but the artwork here is
superior..... The cold, sharp uncaring machinery (of society?) hovering over
the blurry, desolate, barren, windswept desert of life.
