I ordered on February 27, 2004 - contacted jon/thorns (gen...@fmp666.com)
about it during the first two weeks of April; he has been investigating
since and we have been in periodic contact. As of today's email, he tells me
he's looking for the postal receipt, since I paid for express shipping and
delivery confirmation.
I don't know what's going on, but he does continue to answer emails at this
time.
I will keep you posted on the status of this order, as well as in my distro

Further update:
jon/thorns (gen...@fmp666.com) says the order has been sent priority mail
and should arrive by the end of the week. So far all contact has been very
professional, and despite the length of time, at no point has Full Moon
Productions become unresponsive. I will continue to post updates here as
necessary, but for me it's important that they show both sides of this
story. I like to joke with people that I've gotten a year older waiting for
this order, but it's only because I had a birthday during the time of its
duration!

some confidence.
While we're at it, can other users post their Full Moon Productions

this question and let both sides of the issue shine.

Still a mixed bag. I will know personally soon enough if this order arrives
by the end of the week as has been suggested by Jon/Thorns.

so even though we are working with you on this, you are still giving us this
bad review?
you have ordered from us only 1 time and remember, we have been working with
you on the order. if anything you are unable to say 'we advertise stuff
without having them in stock' because you have only ordered once. we update
our site every 3 days, so thats impossible to advertise stuff we dont have
in stock.

Full Moon Productions
This label isn't bad; they're cheap, reliable and only slight Middle Eastern
in monetary matters. The release of Ildjarn's "Northstar," sold as a full
price but containing older versions of 20 minutes of material, burned a lot
of us on the integrity of this joint, as did their failure to contact the
artist about the release. However, otherwise they appear to be reputable and
orders arrive quickly. Often sells CDs for $10/pop.
Update: although they sell CDs cheaply, this label has declined in
reliability. I placed my last order on February 27th, 2004, and it's now
April 8th and there have been no replies to the two emails and one "personal
message" I sent via the FMP666.com bulletin board. It is said that normal
delivery times are 6 weeks, and the label often substitutes credit slips for
items which it continues to advertise as being in stock. When more
information is known, I will post it here.

As I say above, we continue to look at the situation objectively, but as of
now this has taken an ugly turn: "how dare you write the truth?"
We have been in business since 1991 and have a great reputation for being an
honest underground record label, yes we can be slow at times but NEVER a
ripoff.

He says:
"ok, i was unable to find a delivery confirmation for this package, so i
will resend the package today.
tell me exactly what you want and ill send it priority. "
I think this is professional of him and will report on what happens with
this package.
He also objects to our noting that he did not contact the artist about the
sale of Ildjarn's "Son of the Northstar":
Here is his statement:
"i disagree with your comments, unprofessional is the fact that you posted
information about us without directly talking to us. you assumed too much
with the Iljarn story and coming with a one sided conclusion.
yes, i authorized the re-issue on FMP. How is this? Freezing Records had the
rights to release it, i purchased the rights from them to release it -
therefor making it official. "
Here is the review:
>The release of Ildjarn's "Northstar," sold as a full
> price but containing older versions of 20 minutes of material, burned a

I am not sure exactly what he takes issue with, but we have agreed to add
"allegedly" to any public comments suggesting that "Son of the Northstar"
was an unauthorized release.
From the Ildjarn website:
This recording was supposed to be released sometime during the year of 1995
as a 7" vinyl record via Freezing records. In 2002, Full Moon Productions
released the recording without Ildjarn's knowledge in a Mini-CD format
limited to 1000 copies.
http://www.ildjarndomain.com/Discography.htm
It seems the artist and label are still in disagreement over this issue. I'm
not sure how whether or not CDs were sent in payment has anything to do with
whether or not this CD is "authorized," but it seems that according to
public statements, the original review only claims that the release took the
artist by surprise, which seems to be all that the artist's website claims
as well.
Further reports will be made here and on the review page as this order
develops:
http://www.anus.com/metal/db/fmp666.html
Just one sided opinion. we have over 16,000 american customers and over
20,000 customers from abroad. yes, sometimes we are slow shipping packages,
to act like this is a normal occurance this is bullshit.
also, our online catalog is updated every 3 days - its very accurate, but
sometimes items DO sell out.

This was the original review:
Is your claim that this is one-sided?
Note : This recording was supposed to be released sometime during the year
Please see our review here:
http://www.anus.com/metal/db/fmp666.html
Although jon from fmp666.com claims it is "one-sided," I believe he is
mistaken. We praise the positive aspects of his label and note the
downsides, and mention a current order that has not arrived for the past two
months. To this, I have added in the resulting thread here that
jon/thorns/fmp666 is working with me via private mail to resolve this issue.
However, recently, he has posted here claiming that there is no truth to
what I say, so I recommend everyone get both sides of the issue regarding
Full Moon Productions:
Check the complete "Full Moon Productions" thread here:
I have done my best to be professional here and to keep both sides of the
issue represented, but jon/thorns from Full Moon Productions does not feel
that I have done so, and has referred to my review as lacking truth. Thus,
in the interest of fairness...... I suggest everyone read all of what is
posted here, and in the review, and if necessary contact jon/thorns/fmp666
at gen...@fmp666.com.
I believe jon is mistaken here: orders have been placed in the past. See
other posts in this thread. Once again, our intent is not to be one-sided,
and we've had a review page online about Full Moon Productions since 1996 or
1997.
You can find it here:

yeah, but look at the headache you got!!!! good to hear you got your item (s),
but for everyone else, let this be a lesson
Good points. Not to be too apocalyptic, but it seems to me the metal distro
system is collapsing. Reasons are:
1. People want CDs at $10 including shipping, a rate at which no label can
make any money *unless* they trade worthless crap for other CDs.
2. There are so many bands, what is trendy one week is worthless the next;
therefore, to be a "good distro" one must not select the few musically
relevant bands, but what is trendy that minute.
3. Bands are basically interchangeable, so people start looking for novelty
and "rare" items, most of which deliver profit to sellers only six months
after release on eBay...
4. The newer fanbase have no idea what black metal stands for, and thus turn
it into a kind of really angry emo, and therefore will buy almost anything
if marketed correctly (credulous fools).
I think this explains why people are having an unusual round of problems;
there may be other causes and truths as well ;)
