I was just wondering what is the ethnic background of Billy Joel. Thanks for
any information.

His mother is English (descent), his father is German (born in Germany).

Billy's mentioned in the past that because he's from Long Island, he's "Italian
by association."

Billy Joel is Jewish. German-Jewish, more specifically. :-)

Wrong. Billy's dad is of distant Russian Jewish heritage, and later lived in
Austria.
