Tomorrow is December 8th. It was on this day in 1980 that a "crazed
fanatic" murdered John Lennon outside the Dakota apartment building in
New York City. I only use the term "crazed fanatic", because as a
favor to Lennon's widow Yoko Ono and his former band mate Paul
McCartney, I willfully refuse to mention or even acknowledge the name
of the assassin. I still hope that the "crazed fanatic" rots in Hell
when he dies.
It was a very sad day and also, a cold day in December when innocent
blood flowed thicker than the Hudson River.

Not very Christian of you, snorgee. All your ranting and raving about how holier than thou you are and then you produce this bit of outrage.
You are a hypocrite.
What will Davey and Goliath say when your gay bible study class meets again?
But even worse not only do you forget Pearl Harbor Day, you state the obvious about Lennon again showing that you are the queen of the wiki cut and paste, ball breath.

You should stay away from trying to write using imagery because you suck at it.

Actually, it wasn't a cold day in December but an unseasonably warm
NYC December evening. Perhaps if it wasn't exceptionally warm that
night, the "crazed fanatic" might not have stood around and waited for
so many hours.

Donna
When I said that it was a "cold day in December", I wasn't talking in
a literal sense. I was talking in a figurative sense and trying to be
poetic.
When using the word "cold", I was referring to the fact that what the
"crazed fanatic" did was cold blooded murder. He coldly murdered John
Lennon on that day in December and also, he has never expressed any
remorse nor has he ever apologized for murdering John. That is what I
meant by it being a "cold day in December". In the aftermath, each and
every one who was affected by this, mostly Beatles fans and fans of
John as a solo artist, and the feelings were very cold in the wake of
it. I felt those cold feelings myself in the wake of this and I was
only 10 years old when it happened. It actually brought tears to my
eyes and it also aroused my anger at the "crazed fanatic" for
murdering John Lennon. An anger that is still as fresh as the day that
he murdered Lennon and will never subside.
That is what I meant by it being a "cold day in December". It was cold
blooded murder in the same sense as any other senseless murder. The
murder actually mad the day feel like it was cold.
