Hello,

I've heard that John Lennon's father has published a song in sixties, after
his son has become famous. Does anyone know what the name of this song is,
and if it is available for download?

Thanks

Alfred Lennon put out a record called "that's my life." I don't know
anything about the record, or if it is still available, but from what I've
heard about it, it's not anything that would ever have made it out of a
recording studio if the singer wasn't named "Lennon." It was part of Alf's
public blackmail campaign to crowbar his way back into John's life, twenty
years after deliberately walking out of it.

Several years ago, on some show about Lennon's life, a long snippet was
played from that "song". Mostly all you could hear is a gruff
Liverpudian grunt, much like the way modern hip-hop singers "sing". It
wasn't much to listen to.
In the Beatle's biography, it's mentioned that Alf was told by a friend
that there was "someone who sounded a lot like him, but not as nice",
which implies some in his social circle believed he had a good voice at
one time. It wasn't evident from his record.
