If you're on a budget, the best way to get started as a producer is to
make beats on computer. Most people are convinced that the only way to
go is with expensive top of the line equipment and production
software. But what most don't know is that there are programs on the
Internet that allow you to make beats on computer, that have the same
sounds and similar interfaces as the more expensive systems. And they
are even simpler to use.
Now this has been a very controversial debate amongst analog producers
and those that make beats on computer for a while now, but results
don't lie. Even a lot of the pros are turning to this method, because
of it's convenience. And if your just getting started, I don't think
there is an easier more affordable way to level the playing field.
Now I myself have been making beats for about 7 years now, and I
fought my friends every time they suggested I should make beats on
computer. Simply because it was so easy, and I had already spent so
much money on equipment. But once I started to hear the quality of
beats that were being created and actually used in the industry, I had
to put pride aside. It saves a ton of time and I don't have to have a
wealth of knowledge an experience to sound like I do. My only regret
is that I didn't decide to make beats on computer sooner.
So for all of you that are wondering if it's a good idea to make beats
on computer, take my word for it. It will save you money, time and
space. You will be able to make a high quality beat with little to no
experience and have a platform that makes you equal to professional
producers and give you a huge advantage over your amateur competition
that still think buying expensive equipment and programs that they
don't even know how to use is the best way to go.
