I certainly wouldn't have put any money on Aerosmith back then as
being the next batch of "comeback kids"! They discovered some secret,
unerring formula for creating radio-friendly hard rock hits (aka
"power ballads"), that's for sure!

(Back to "Come Together", I have to admit that the song sounds like it
was MADE for them -- unlike, say, Alice Cooper and "Because". I think
that may have been John Lennon's fault, though -- as I recall, he was
in the studio with AC at the recording session and gave him the
suggestion to ham up the vocals.)

No, that was George Martin. Alice wanted to sing the song with a John
Lennon impression, but George said "Sing it how Alice Cooper would sing it."
