It sure has been quiet around these parts lately...in fact I'm
wondering if even this message will been seen by anyone!?
Although I've been busy with other stuff lately, I've still found time
to work on the odd image or two. However I decided against posting
them, simply because I doubted anyone would stop by to see them!
Does anyone check out this group anymore I wonder....if no one replies
to this I'll assume not and unsubscribe...not much point in posting
stuff to an abandoned group! :-(
My latest "fad" is creating "Digital paintings" from photo's....damn
is it addictive! Time just FLIES doing this stuff!
If you have access to photo editing software such as Photoshop or
Paintshop Pro, there are numerous tutorials available on the web
explaining how to create "Digital Art".
I highly recommend the site "Retouch Pro" which amongst other
interesting stuff features a number of forums including the excellent
"Photo based Art" forum....here's a direct link to it:
http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=e479d855a5707df23fc45b2dab1b69ae&forumid=110
I've also discovered a fabulous piece of software called "Deep Paint",
which allows you to create extremely realistic works of art from
photographs, in addition to creating original paintings from scratch.
It even gives the illusion of paint texture projecting from the
canvas....fantastic! You can download a 60 day (or 40 hour) demo from
the following website link (it's large at 17Mb, but worth it!):
http://www.righthemisphere.com/products/dpaint/index.htm
Don't order the current version 1.1b just now though....version 2 is
due out in the next month or so.
Rather than post examples here now, I've set up a page at a site
called "Renderosity.com"....you can only upload a maximum of 3 images
each day, so as I joined today there are only 3 images available just
now...you can view them here:

I'd really appreciate your comments / feedback.....if I find people
are interested there will be more....I may even post some here on the
group.
Cheers,
Andy B, Bolton, UK

Shall we flood Renderosity with all our ABBA/Agnetha/Frida Digi
Paintings and kick Poser-Vicky into her nice bum ? *LOL*
Your sketch is fab. Tell me how you made it.
