xmoo is a MOO component currently in pre-alpha stage.
http://weblog.1337zone.com/ serves for a place to post updates,
HowTo's and other useful information about xmoo and MOO/MUDs in
general. Please visit that page to learn more.
If you are a Lua/C++ programmer and you know how to code XML/XMPP you
are welcomed to join the developer team.
xmoo can run on any Jabber server and joining the MOO is as easy as
joining a chat room.
xmoo could even be distributed on different servers because Jabber
servers are distributed.
For example you could jump from a world to another world, or maybe
another MUD.
There are endless possibilities to XMPP and Jabber and thus to xmoo.
If you want to test it and see it for yourself (but please keep in
mind that it is still pre-alpha, not much is implemented) we will set
up a server where the latest SVN will run.
The xmoo SVN tree is available anonymously for viewing at http://
opensvn.csie.org/xmoo/
Or use a SVN client like http://www.softpedia.com/get/Programming/
Other-Programming-Files/Syncro-SVN-Client.shtml
If you are on Linux then you'd have no problem searching for a SVN
client (the package is usually named 'subversion' on most Linux
distributions).
