I am currently running on a MAC running Windows Version 7 in the real
mode and Windows 2000 in the optional emulation mode. I can boot in
either.

My problem is thatin the "NATIVE" mode, the CMD.exe startup does not
allow an automatic batch file to run to put me in my preferred work
folder, but HAS doskey features, whereas command.exe has such a
control in autoexec.nt but does not provide the doskey features even
if explicitly typed (and is called in th .NT file).

My other "real" windows 2000 system is down (booting problem) and this
MAC usage is where I keep up for the moment. I had no such problem on
the old machine.

Is this the right place to ask this question?
Am I missing something needed in MAC machines?
My autoexec.nt has the standard default entries, plus my added :-

path c;\windows\system32;c:\;c:\ws
doskey
