The goal of art is to convay an experience. It alows the artist to transmit
what his introspective world is like to others. Tarantino is a surrealist.
To me Surrealism is presenting the bazaar as real and revealing the real as
bazaar. Tarantino creates fantasies that give one the feeling of what it's
like to live on the edge. I have had the same feeling seeing a Tarantino
film as I had when I carried a gun to help a friend do something that he
shouldn't have done or when I went to a secret subversive political meeting.
On the other hand I often see people doing things that are totally absurd
but who are too unaware to notice what they are really doing and that is
just as Surreal. If you are aware then most of you life is Surreal and it
is great to see that we can talk to others about that experience.
