What Walter Matthau movie is this?

My dad talked about this Walter Matthau movie that he liked but can't
remember the title. He remembers this scene where Walter sits in his
chair at home about to watch a LA Lakers game that he taped and his
wife says 'Honey I don't know why you want to watch that game, LA lost
in double overtime.' The look on Walter's face was priceless according
to dad. I think this would make a great xmas gift for dad.
Any help is appreciated.
