Help me ID another actress...

Someone has posted a photo on LiveJournal of a silent film actress
that I just can't place. It looks almost like Bessie Love, but I
don't think it is. Anyone know? Here's the link:

These things always drive me crazy. I should know who that is, but my
synapses aren't routing correctly or something.

Is there any chance that a scan of the complete picture might be made
available? It looks like Clara Bow . . . but, maybe not. It is
definitely NOT Renee Adoree, nor is it Bessie Love, nor Claudette
Colbert. It does not look particularly like Bessie Love, either. Is
there a code number of any kind on the still?

Well, I thought it looked like Bessie Love (I'm "smashingstars" on
LJ, so the person you're referring to is me ;). The code on the still
is P723-78, although the P is written kind of funny and might be D.
The silent film codes list didn't help.
I'll ask about a scan, but I suspect the person who posted the photo
got it from another website. I'll try to get the original URL from
her.

Someone else just pointed out that you're probably seeing the little
tiny picture on the upper left, the one that says "It" on it, right?
That's not the picture with the mystery lady. I completely forgot
that LiveJournal's images can be really wonky for people who aren't
members. Sorry about that. Totally my fault, I should remember these
things by now.

Compson . . . but it is a Paramount publicity still ca. 1925-26. I'll
have to check the number codes and get back to you. Paramount is
tricky in this era, there are both west coast and east coast numbers.

Yeah, I never have any luck with Paramount still codes. If you do get a
chance to check into it, let us know. I'm positive you're a busy man,
though, and want to let you know I appreciate you taking the time out to
look at this picture!
