The following is as much as I can get out of the video dept which
contrary to popular belief I have little to do with ( In fairness to
the video dept. it should be noted that I never watch videos and do not
have a DVD player)

2/20 release for DVD

It/Discovering the 'It' Girl ( one dvd)
Sadie Thompson
Broken Blossoms Special Edition

Other titles scheduled are a two volume set of Keaton/Arbuckle ( does
NOT include The Cook which I know Milestone is releasing but I don't
know anything else )
this will be out in April

German silents
The FIRST group will be

Faust
Last Laugh
Love of Jeanne Ney

LATER in the year and againg I don't know when will
be
Diary of A Lost Girl
Blue Angel
and after them

Die Nibelungen
Spies

Also This year the "AFI" Richard the Third and Emil Janning's Othello

There will be other stuff but I will post it as I find out about it,,

Anyone who has ANY questions or suggestions ( like a Richard Roberts
sleeping supplement for Die Nibelungun) can address them to the office
at
Kin...@infohouse.com

There is a weird defect in our internet set up which prevents anyone
from getting on newsgroups at the office which is why I post the stuff
from home.

See you all in sunny Syracuse

Tape #1:
"The Butcher Boy"
"The Bellboy"
"Out West"
"Moonshine"
"The Hayseed"

Tape #2:
"Back Stage"
"Good Night Nurse!"
"Coney Island"
"The Rough House"
"The Garage"

No "His Wedding Night" either, I'm afraid, nor "Oh Doctor!" which has
already been released by KINO in David Shepard's "Slapstick Encyclopedia" --
but all the other Arbuckle/Keaton Comiques are there.

Huzzah and kudos to Kino! I've been waiting for copies of these for as
long as I can remember. I've managed to get a few of these here and there,
but now they'll all be in once place. Is this coming out on DVD?

In article <3A7506D8...@pop.mindspring.com>,

I'm hoping that the ROUGH HOUSE print contains the footage missing from
Rohauer's erroneously titled THE COOK edition: Buster as a cop going
downstairs at the 14th Street subway kiosk, followed immediately by the
shot of him exiting at the 222nd Street kiosk in the Bronx. The second
shot is in Rohauer's version, which of course loses the payoff effect
without the setup. The 14th Street shot is an extraordinary glimpse of
an unknown Keaton in a bustling NYC and Union Square, quite unlike those
dreamy dawn shots of Fifth Avenue on a Sunday for THE CAMERAMAN.

Oh, did I announce this yet? Yes, we're bringing out The Cook along with
Reckless Romeo, but we were awaiting to make the official announcement through
Patty Tobias on the Damfino website since she was the instigator of the
acquisition. As the cat's out of the bag, it's still nonetheless true. More
surprises to come, however.
