1906: HARRY HOLCOMBE, who played Dr. Arnold Johnson in the U.S.
inserts for “King Kong vs. Godzilla”, is born. Best recognized as the
grandfather in Country Time Lemonade commercials, he appeared in “The
Birdman of Alcatraz”, “The Silencers”, TV’s “Batman”, and “Empire of
the Ants”.

1925: JOHN GUILLERMIN, who directed the 1976 remake of “King Kong”, is
born in London.

1940: DENNIS FIMPLE, who played Sunfish in the 1976 remake of “King
Kong”, is born.

1943: SHUNSUKE IKEDA, who played Takeshi Minami on “Return of
Ultraman”, Hiro Akiyama on “Silver Mask”, and Ichiro a.k.a. “Kikaida
