During the scene where Wendy sits down to talk to the Doctor in THE
SHINING, a thick blue book is seen behind the doctors head,
immediately to her right. Can anyone identify this book or its author?
This scene has some interesting/relevant books, papers etc scattered
about, but no one's been able to make out the title of this particular
one.

It's either "Birdbrains I have known" or "Chess and Umbrella Twirling
made Easy."

It's enough that Anne Jackson and Anne Meara are healthy, wealthy and wise. "Fear and Pyramids on a Lunar Sideshow"? "Red Currant Jelly"? "Xenu vs. Sauron at Black Rock"?

In reel time, we can take "Maude Adams" to the Bijou in fly-specked Picture Show, Texas and watch the matinee "Hugo" - popcorn on you, cowbell - right behindcha, Donnyyyy; I will find out the contents of that book if I have to shortcircuit every neuron in Brin's Brain.
That you should see, a toastedcheesemonkie beachcomber taking a metal detector into Verdun, that you should see. Whilst our Cartographer adjusts the horizontal, let us peruse more crypto-mentally latitudal peanuts embedded in the sidewalks of WeidnerWorld. ..."nothing" much happening in Yahooian Kubrick updates other than Bear McCreary "reveals the physics behind your favorite science fiction theme tunes" http://www.wired.com "Perfect Fifth" Strauss and Freddy Nietzsche and Copland and John Williams and GO MAROONS!

I have checked and it looks like it could be "In This House of Brede" by Rumer Godden. However on looking closely in photoshop the word Brede is very fuzzy and comes to resemble the word Panic. I wonder if he altered it...
The book is about an enclosed community of nuns who overcome crisis by their devotion to faith and spirituality.
"Well, no *****te." We will find properly motivated graduate students to investigate all of Frau Winifred Torrance's cultural signifiers if we have to ... bribe koffkoff beguile the purty pink Portian in the corner. Sixpence None The Richer, LeighNash, "Breathe Your Name." Matthew Crawley walked the Walk. Diana Rigg - i breathe her namen.
