I'd appreciate any info you can give me on the soundtrack to The Shining.
As you know it is a very erie and fascinating ST. Actually I know Bela
Bartok was one of the composers, but I would like to know where I might be
able to get CD's of trippy horror music like this...

Here are some of the pieces used in the Shining:
Bela Bartok: Music for Strings precussion and celesta
Gyorgy Ligeti: "Lontano"
Krysztof Penderecki: "De natura sonoris"
Can I steal the "Bartok wrote trippy horror music" for my master's thesis:-)?
It is important to note that these composers did not intend their music
to be used for this or any other film. (specially in that case of Bartok,
who has been very dead since 1945)
