I have a '92 Honda Shadow w/11k miles. Purchased from dealer 1 month
ago. As I go on longer and longer rides, I am finding that sustained
highway speeds lead to an overheated engine. I check fluids constantly
(before a ride), and nothing indicates that I need any fluids, yet I am
constantly putting Honda anti-freeze in this thing. I find it on the
ground (anti-freeze) many times after a long ride. Any ideas as to what
I might need to look into here? BTW, I have a two year warranty on the
bike.

where did it leak out of? water pump or radaitor cap or overfill resvered
bottle or maybe the thermostat have been removed?

it's possible the radiator need to be taken out to radaitor shop for rod and
clean. i have had my old shadow done and temp got better.

The water comes out of the overflow. As far as I know, this problem is
new .. the dealer claims the previous owner never had any problems.
However, the previous owner (honest to God, an older woman who
previously rode a Harley but traded for the Shadow in '92 because the
Harley got to be too much for her arthritis) probably never rode the
bike very hard. I have 1000 miles on it in the first month .. she had
10.5k in 9 years. I do a lot of highway/tollway riding, and keeping up
around here means you do 80 or you're a bump in the road.
