I bought a used fuel tank for the '68 Honda 350 I'm restoring.

Any tales of success or tips on re-coating the interior?

Thanks,

I have taken a rusted fuel tank to a place that specializes in car radiators
and they flushed it out and cleaned it out with a caustic solution. The
insides of the tank ended up clean and free of loose particles. However, the
exterior paint job was a mess after that. If they had been more careful, I
am sure that the exterior paint could have been protected.

I restored a 82 Seca 750 with a similar problem . I took it to a radiator shop
and had it hot tanked it (removes all the rust inside) and they also welded
some holes up for me and it only cost $70. Looks great now.
