Bugliosi and his publicity team can’t get him booked on Today or Good
Morning America, let alone Countdown or The Colbert Report. Book
review publications, so far including the New York Times (it’s “under
consideration”), won’t write up his manuscript. Don Imus won’t even
accept his advertising. Don Imus! (Bugliosi has, however, conducted
some 100 radio interviews.)

Bugliosi, 73, told me by phone from his Los Angeles home I was the
only one from a major paper to interview him so far, and no TV either.

As a Los Angeles county prosecutor, Vincent Bugliosi batted a thousand
in murder cases: 21 trials, 21 convictions, including the Charles
Manson case in 1971.

Former California prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi wants President Bush
charged with murder.

Bugliosi, 73 – who in the early 1970s successfully prosecuted Charles
Manson for the murder of Sharon Tate and six others – lays out his
case against Bush in The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder
in book stores – Tuesday May 27, 2008.
Bugliosi wants one or more of the fifty state attorneys general or one
of the nation’s hundreds of district attorneys to step up and
prosecute Bush for murder.

It's a start. Then add crimes against humanity with kidnapping,
torture, radioactive weapons and collective punishment - you'll be
getting warm.

Any decent prosecutor should be able to drum up at least 100 capital
crimes against this piece of @#$^%. If America has even the smallest
speck of decency left, we will hound this administration 24/7 until
they check into club fed for a life sentence.
Burn baby burn.

Impeach is not gonna happen
1 Dems don't have the will even if they had enough evdence of high
crimes
2 there is not enough time between now and the end of the administration
3 the evidence is not strong enough to get a conviction Alledging war
crimes is not proof If there is mass murders its coming via the
insurgents and the jihadists. OUR TROUPS ARE NOT SLAUGHTERING THE

Our "troups" must refer to traveling USO entertainers.
But our "troops" have been slaughtering innocent civilians every year since
2003. Try using that line on a mother whose young daughter has had both
arms amputated in connection with an explosion detonated by US forces.
yep.

If guns are out-lawed. Only the Out-laws & politicians will have guns.
The legal case Bugliosi outlined can be argued by lawyers. I haven't
heard anyone dispute his case outside of opinion. If there are no
lawyers to counter his documentation then it won't take long. That is
after Bush is out of office.
The point is many Americans want accountability. Not only Bush but
Rove, Cheney et al. No one should get by with these atrocities.
Our troops are following orders. The individuals who committ crimes
need to be addressed. The airstrikes have "slaughtered" many innocent
in Afghan/Paki area.

Without more journalists and aid workers in the area, we'll never know
how many suffer from what. Two wrongs don't make a right.

We are all entitled to an opinion. Are you a lawyer and have you read
the book? When I read and hear the legal counter to Bugliosi, that
will be more meaningful. The book claims to have plenty of strong
evidence that can be scrutinized. If you read the links it's more
specific.

Jane Mayer has a new book, The Dark Side: The Inside Story of How The
War on Terror Turned into a War on American Ideals
http://www.randomhouse.com/catalog/display.pperl/9780385526395.html
Mayer is not a lawyer and writes a narrative account. She chronicles
real, specific cases, shown in real time against the larger picture.
It outlines the legacy of GWB admininistration. Easier to read then a
legal case.

Is that a link to a site with a legal counter to the Bugliosi's case?
It doesn't work. Thank you if that's a link. We'd be interested in
hearing both sides.
> One question cite the source? Was this an ied or a deliberate attack
I'm not sure what you're referring to...
When I think of "slaughter" here I mostly think of the airstrikes.
Slaughter like in a butchershop is a different "slaughter". One
dictionary says slaughter is the brutal or violent killing of a
person.
Most of the troops are fine people. A few bad ones. Others do go over
the line and do horrible things.
How do you categorize all the Iraqi/Afghan innocent citizens who are
maimed or killed as a result of the US actions? Iraq is now known to
be based on lies. Who did slaughter those innocents? The "slaughter",
or whatever you want to call it, comes from the leaders and their
minions. That is why a legal recourse is necessary.
Americans are divided. More discussions as the legal process will
bring out is good for all.
It is unfortunate that on the world stage it is the picture of
American troops that many see as "slaughtering" and killing.
Prosecuting the liars will help the soldiers to tell their full
stories.
The "slaughter"/murder is to be prosecuted from the top. Not each
individual soldier. Individuals that commit crimes are separate.
When crimes are covered up or miscreant soldiers are treated with
privilege, they disgrace and demean all military and America.
The latter happened in a situation in our community, a soldier
disgraced our country and due to privilege it is covered up. It is
anti-American.
The deaths and "slaughter" are not only on a battlefield, like in the
movies. Our soldiers die from shoddy contractor work, like the
electroctions on military bases. Children die from disease caused from
toxic chemicals. Many soldiers die after they return and aren't
counted as "war dead". It goes on and on. Unfortunately, it can take
years to bring International and domestic justice. We agree, the time
for impeachment is off.
Tick, tick, tick...
