Well has anyone bothered to check the PAY RAISE Congress and the Senate
awarded themselves? Strange they needed a raise to meet the increase in the
" COST OF LIVING ", you know prices going up. And strangely so did the
government employees and appointees, but the old folks and used up military
well...... cut health care raise tax's and we will be rid of them soon
enough.
I have requested under the Freedom of Information Act the exact percentage
of the awards/pay increases. Not the exact amount only the percentage.

GIMME, GIMME, GIMME, it's all mine, all mine. Forget about you and everyone

I see the jest of what you are saying and in fact the little bit of increase
we do receive is also dipped into by the IRS, so in fact a COLA increase
could logically increase your tax liability for the year depending on how
close you are to the next income level.
I don't hear anyone complaining about not receiving it. In fact, there were
a few years that no COLA was paid.
HOWEVER, COLA increases also impact Social Security where ten bucks could
mean having an extra gallon of milk in the fridge or go without, for the
elderly, not to mention payment of heating bills.
COLA increases have never met real life cost increases due to the fact
EVERYTHING goes up following the increases. I think you have ENTITLEMENTS
confused with BENEFITS just as Congress is confused over Concurrent Receipt.
If you were in this boat, I'm sure you would complain as well. It's unjust
to single out one class of people to discriminate against. The military
retiree who's also a disabled veteran. I suppose you feel that a retiree
that had a leg blown off doesn't deserve VA compensation either.

correspondently offer to give anything in return. My military retirement
gives me enough money to ensure that I'll never end up living on the street,
I'll never go without eating and I'll always be able to pay for any medical
expenses that I incur. If this isn't enough, I can earn the money I need on
top of my retirement so I can live the way I want to live. To earn the
money I need to live the life I want, I just might have to something like go
and stand in the cold, open door of a Wal-Mart saying "welcome", but so
what? It's honest work and the work isn't back breaking or demeaning. And
if that work doesn't pay me enough, I'm sure I can find a job paying more if
I look hard enough.
So lets stop crabbing about COLA's and start enjoying what we have. If
someone's utility bill goes up 26%, that person can turn off some lights or
turn down the thermostat or stop flushing the toilet so often. Then we can
live and let live and enjoy what we have.

Once again, the only person that actually saw those was you, Richard

Her BBS was never attached in any way to my system. It was always hers
on her lines. She shut down, period due to the same reasons a few

business. In Colorado, Internet is exempt from tax. Therefore, no Tax
ID is required at State Level. BTW, it still exists and never was a BBS
of any type or kind. Another case of just a smittering of fact to

I find that very funny, especially since I've been bed ridden for the last
four days and haven't even been on line. I really don't care if he thinks
it's I or not. It really doesn't matter to me or anyone else. Most people
just skip over Hunt's messages and I have him kill filed, but cannot help
to see his spewings forth from quoted replies of others. This SYSOP
business has me also cracking up. I ran a six line BBS in Washington called
Sea-Bell Crossroads BBS for many many years. It was the second or third most
popular BBS in that area. PLUS, it's been written up in two publications,
one of which was PC Magazine and the other Puget Sound Computer User. Back
in the day, anyone could run a stinking BBS, it was no big deal. The ones
that became poplar were totally free, had megabytes (yes, megabyes) of
shareware and freeware available, plus forums that all had moderators to
keep it clean. My BBS specialized in computer hardware with an emphasis on
MFM and RLL hard drive formatting and installations. I was a pro in that
area and still am somewhat. I may have did some outstanding things in my
life but I sure don't brag about them. My proof are in the writings I
received. When the internet came into being, I decided to pull the plug
since everyone appeared to be going in that direction. I was also one of
the first to jump on line when the internet (when Al Gore invented) went
public. Therefore I don't give a shit about Hunt one way or another and to
post about him only makes him come back. I would rather he just go away.
I've never seen anything he's posted to be interesting, other than his hits
on me for one reason or another. It only shows his obsession with me, not
the other way around.

I found that out later on. In fact there were three people involved. They
tried so damn hard to get me to leave or to get me fired from the job I was
retiring from anyway. I have won every battle tossed my way, only because
I'm knowledgeable of the law. When I retired from the USPS, the big boss
actually apologized to me for all the shit I took from a particular
individual who is still there. They knew he was the instigator all along
but had to play along. The guy had the balls to take me to court on a
bullshit restraining order which was tossed out. There are so many people
filled with hate and discontent. I don't know why they just can't live

I'm rather quiet because I really don't give a shit about him. He knows
better than to confront me in person, therefore I'm not concerned about
that. He doesn't believe it, but the ONLY problem I have with him is is
constant use of my name in every posting or reply he makes here. Until
his antics flow over into my personal life, I'll just keep on ignoring
him. You are prompting me to take some type of action on him, when in
fact I really don't care. I guess I have more respect for him than he
has for me. Let him be. If he's ignored, he may go away. I notice he
doesn't post in alt.war.vietnam anymore and he also claims to be a Nam
vet because he landed there a couple times. The only thing I can say
about Hunt is the fact the documents he sent to me via email LOOKED fake
to me. I only said they were real to get the wolves off his ass in the
newsgroup. If I had known he would turn out to be the asshole he is, I
wouldn't have done that. Now I'm sorry I did. He refuses to send those
documents to anyone else for another opinion, and I know why. They will
see what I saw and call them a fake. He thinks I still have those
documents, but I don't, and even if I did, he can't prove I do.
Besides, he's the one that sent them to me and if I still had them,
there's nothing he can do about it. I wouldn't pass them around either,
but rather allow him to fess up or show them to some other disinterested
party for an opinon. To date he hasn't done that, and I don't blame
him. It would just add credence to what I saw as fake documents.
