Operation RetroActive Recognition Letters to Congress from PO3C Greg Colyer
http://www.americanwarlibrary.com/retroactive/retro.htm

Operation RetroActive Recognition seeks to ensure that ALL deserving past, present and future neglected but eligible recipient of any and all military awards should receive retroactive authorization.

PO3C Greg Colyer (Vet.) has advised the list of Congresspersons named below about Operation RetroActive Recognition.

In each of his letters to members of Congress, and to ensure that members of Congress know that they are receiving a letter written by an individual and not a Form letter, PO3C Colyer has wisely included a photo of each Congressperson in
his letterhead. (See the attached image of one of PO3C Colyers letters. Form letters should never be sent because they are routinely dismissed by Congress.)

Because the legislation requested under Operation RetroActive Recognition requires no expense to taxpayers or by the military budget its success is ensured. However, legislation in Congress never occurs in a vacuum. PO3C Colyer, like many
veterans, is aware that Congress must be petitioned in order to initiate and approve veteran legislation. No veteran should expect to sit in the background and wait for work to be done by others.

Just as every individual member of a rifle platoon, sea-going warship, airborne gunship or tactical planning group must each and all individually participate in a military operation if it is to succeed, each and every military veteran MUST
participate in Operation RetroActive Recognition.

Because there are so few military veterans serving in Congress it is imperative that large numbers of veterans each and individually petition Congress to support and enact veteran and military legislation.

We encourage everyone to follow PO3C Colyers lead, as he devotes time each day to send a letter about Operation RetroActive Recognition to several members of Congress. PO3C Colyer also plans to advise all members of both the House and
Senate Armed Services and Intelligence Committees. Following those members, PO3C Colyer plans to send letters to senior members of every military branch. You should do the same.

Get on board! Start sending a letter about Operation RetroActive Recognition to a different member of Congress, your local and State government officials, and to senior military officers, as well as commanders of military units. (Most
military units have websites and email/mail contact addresses of their senior officers.) Email copies of your Congressional letters to The War Library so that your personal contribution to this important Operation goes on record.
