Only one thing keeps people
from going into the abyss,
and that is Christ imputing
his own righteousness to us
as our Righteous Substitute.
Whatever people do, they
must not appear before God
in their own "righteousness".
For anyone who is unfamiliar
with these things, they need
to find out about the Gospel
that Christ showed to enable
the Protestant Reformation.
That Gospel is hardly heard
anymore, having been ignored
as "older Protestant theology".
But the popular "gospel" today
is based on our "righteousness",
and saves no one at all.
The Reformation Gospel is
posted at my website.
