And I should have given the flipside. Don't know what its like now, but US
Customs did have zero tolerance policy for drugs carried across border, and
don't think its thawed too much. Procedure was seizure and forfeiture of
vehicle, as well as possible criminal charges, etc. Vehicles were then sold
with percentage going back into war on drugs so there was incentive for
Customs to be strict. Know of a case where Corvette valued at >$50,000 was
seized for one joint of marijuana. Someone else lost a motorhome for not
much more. Used to live near Can/US border crossing and seizure lot was
full of vehicles bound for auction. Can/Mexican border probably stricter.
Tylenol w. codeine may be treated more leniently than marijuana, but don't
know if I'd test it. Moral: I dunno. Take the bus?
Second, there was an Oprah show (last spring?) about illegal counterfeits
of brand name goods, including meds. Included fake similac (baby formula)
which was downright dangerous. Moral: Be wary of buy by mail meds, IMHO.
